Samsung introduced a new affordable Galaxy M series to its portfolio last year to take on brands like Xiaomi in the online market. The new lineup kicked off with the launch of the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20, which were essentially upgrades for the company’s Galaxy J series. Since then, the company has launched several great smartphones in the Galaxy M series, including the Galaxy M30, Galaxy M40, Galaxy M10s, Galaxy M30s, Galaxy M31 and, most recently, the Galaxy M21. Earlier this month, we saw leaked renders of another upcoming smartphone in the series — the Galaxy M11 — and the company has now officially unveiled the device.
As per a report from GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy M11 recently appeared on the Samsung UAE website with a design identical to the one we saw in previous leaks. The device features a 6.4-inch HD+ LCD with a hole punch cutout in the top left corner for the selfie camera. While the company hasn’t revealed the exact chipset powering the Galaxy M11, the listing reveals that it packs in an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. The unnamed SoC is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, along with a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion.
The Galaxy M11 features a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 12MP f/1.8 primary shooter, a 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. Alongside the vertically aligned camera module on the back, the device has a dual-LED flash and a capacitive fingerprint sensor. Powering the device is a massive 5,000mAh battery which can be charged using the USB Type-C port, a welcome addition on the budget smartphone. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and WiFi b/g/n at 2.4GHz. The listing showcases three color variants — black, blue, and purple — but there’s still no information on its pricing and availability. As of now, Samsung has also released no information regarding its plans to launch the device outside the UAE.
